Background and Mission Statement

Sound Business Services, Inc.  is an American-owned and operated company that provides virtual office support to small businesses and individuals.  Sound Business Services is owned and operated by Jonathan Bill who believes integrity is the fundamental element of his company.  Jonathan makes it his goal to do quality work in every situation, and to do his work like he would want his own done.  Jonathan began doing office management as an employee of a small business in 2000 and then eventually began his own business in 2006.  He has had a wide range of experience working with clients from various backgrounds and industries.  Sound Business Services is located in Cobb County, GA although due to modern technology, their services can be provided nearly anywhere.

 

Virtual Office Support      

Sound Business Services provides office support virtually.  Although this is still somewhat of a new concept it is becoming more and more widespread in a day when many business professionals are beginning to work from home.  Here are answers to some frequently asked questions that people have about virtual office support companies.

 

What is a virtual office support company (VOSC)?

A virtual office support company (sometimes called virtual assistants or VA’s) provides services to companies or individuals from a remote office location. Some of these include, virtual servers, telephone, fax, instant messaging, file sharing, email, and the internet.  These tools enable the VOSC to efficiently communicate with you and your office staff as if they were physically in your office.

 

How much does it cost to get set up remotely?

Although it varies in each situation based upon what the needs of the client are, sometimes these remote tools can be setup with little to no additional cost to the client. One such tool that Sound Business Services offers is QuickBooks Pro and Premier hosting including an online document storage system. For only $39.99/month clients can access their QuickBooks file as well as all their electronic financial information via a secure internet connection from SBS’s website. Information can easily be transferred between the client and Sound Business Services using this method. Whatever the need is, SBS will work with you to implement an effective and efficient solution to working remotely.

 

Does it matter where I am located?

No.  Unless there is a special need to periodically have SBS come to your physical office location, all communication can be done via phone, fax, internet, and US mail. 

 

How secure is it?

Two of the main tools that SBS uses to work virtually besides email, phone, and fax are Log Me In and a virtual server.  Log Me In (www.logmein.com) is a remote access utility that allows a VOSC to access their client’s PC from a remote location.  To read about Log Me In’s security please click here

Sound Business Services makes every effort to keep their client’s information backed up and secure. SBS realizes there is a lot at stake for their client but also for them as a company if their client’s data were to be compromised.

 

How practical is it?

In many cases it is just as practical if not more practical than having onsite staff.  There are cases where it is not  as practical, and in such cases SBS seeks to be as accommodating as possible.  Depending upon the location of the client’s office, SBS can arrange visits for those tasks that are not as easily accomplished virtually.
